Members of NZCCHK were invited to tour the soon to be completed "1881 Heritage", a major conservation project undertaken by Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd in the Tsim Sha Tsui district of the Kowloon Peninsula. The project, transforms the former Marine Police Station, Fire Station and other buildings on the site into a heritage hotel with adjoining museum and retail outlets. The visit took place on 21 April 2009.

Chairman of the NZCCHK, David Whitwam, attended the official launch of the collaboration between New World Telecom and Yahoo! Hong Kong. The collaboration aims to transform the way e-business applications are provided to Hong Kong companies and accelerate Hong Kong into a digital economy. Members of the NZCCHK took part of a study mission to look at retailing strategies in Shenzhen during July 2004. Organised by the Hong Kong InterCham PRD Committee, the group visited stores of Wal-Mart (USA), B&Q (UK) and Rainbow (China). NZCCHK co-hosted a luncheon with AmCham and the InterCham PRD Committee during which Dr Michael Enright, Professor of Business Administration, Hong Kong University introduced the audience to his recent publication "The Greater Pearl River Delta" commissioned by InvestHK.
